Community Espresso, El Zapoteco Mexico - Curve Coffee
Curve Coffee’s Community Espresso range is true to their mission of showcasing in season coffees while sharing the stories of the communities who make the coffee industry possible.
For this balanced and creamy coffee, Curve have worked with Raw Material who are improving coffee quality and access to specialty markets in the Mexican coffee regions of Oaxaca and Chiapas. This washed lot has been produced by the El Zapateco group, a community of 180 indigenous Zapotec farmers in Oaxaca whose farms average less than one hectare.
Their leader, Romulo Chavez, has been working hard to create direct and lasting relationships with specialty coffee buyers so it’s exciting to see Curve return to this delicious coffee for a third season.
Notes of nutty milk choc and flame raisin stand out in this one, specifically designed for espresso brewing.
Curve Coffee Roasters are a values-driven roastery based in sunny Margate, Kent, founded in the back of a café in 2016 by passionate coffee professionals Tereza and Jon.
Curve know that the coffee they roast has the potential to make big differences to people’s livelihood and create better balance in the coffee industry. As a result, Curve’s focus is on seasonal, high quality coffees that are better not only for coffee drinkers but for the supply chain and the planet too.
