Brazil is the obvious place to look for big, sweet espresso coffees, but it’s also an origin dominated by commodity production and mega-estates. Norma have turned instead to this natural process Yellow Catuai Sitio Baixão da Serra, a two hectare farm in Minas Gerais run by Abner and Ana Carvalho. Small scale, low intervention farming that makes great use of the nutrient rich volcanic soil that they’ve been blessed with.
