about

Kedamessa, Ethiopia - Missing Bean Coffee Roasters
These new Ethiopian coffee beans roasted by Missing Bean come from smallholder producers in the Goma district whose coffee grows wild in the shade of the Jimma Zone’s mountain forests.
These farmers bring their coffee cherry to Mana Mufti, a drying station operated by Mustafa Mohamed Ali, who is carrying on the legacy of his father who had produced and sold coffee since the 1950s. Mohamed Ali sought more independence over his production, majorly investing in processing plants to be able to produce high quality honey lots like this one.
Honey in process honey in flavour, this coffee provides a big fruity hit of candied lemon and dried berries typical of Ethiopian heirloom varieties, alongside a honeyed mouthfeel that makes this cup stand out.
Now with 6 cafés across the county, Oxford’s first independently owned coffee shop Missing Bean have been flying the flag for specialty coffee across Oxfordshire since Ori and Vicky opened their first site in 2009. Their close-knit team have found their way into coffee from all walks of life, but all share a passion for sustainably sourced coffee which they hand roast at their East Oxford roastery.
Their coffee selection spans origins across the globe, sourcing with a special focus on developing direct trade relationships with producers.
