Ceiba, Honduras - Missing Bean Coffee Roasters

Missing Bean’s coffee from Honduras has been produced by members of COMSA (Café Organico Marcala). This co-operative, based in a rural area of Honduras’s La Paz region, is founded on sustainability, supporting producers who want to make a shift to environmentally friendly farming and produce certified organic coffee beans.

The majority of these producers process their own coffee, including washed, natural and honey processed lots like this one, and have experimental plots to trial new agricultural and processing techniques. All COMSA members are offered training in organic farming, affordable organic soil treatments as well as access to social projects like education subsidies.

This one’s a sure-fire crowd-pleaser, bringing a versatile flavour profile of rich chocolate truffle, blood orange and roasted almonds.

Now with 6 cafés across the county, Oxford’s first independently owned coffee shop Missing Bean have been flying the flag for specialty coffee across Oxfordshire since Ori and Vicky opened their first site in 2009. Their close-knit team have found their way into coffee from all walks of life, but all share a passion for sustainably sourced coffee which they hand roast at their East Oxford roastery.

Their coffee selection spans origins across the globe, sourcing with a special focus on developing direct trade relationships with producers.
