Los Nisperos, Guatemala - Curve Coffee

Sweet, creamy and absolutely ripe for your next espresso, Curve’s Guatemalan coffee beans come from a single farm lot grown by Sotero Cano and his family in Huehuetenango. Curve have been buying from Los Nisperos for the past 9(!) years, but it’s our first time trying it so please forgive our excitement.

Los Nisperos gets its name from the fruit trees that grow around the farm and shade the coffee in a natural canopy. Sotero has been farming organic coffee for around 30 years, when it became a profitable crop in Guatemala, and now works alongside his wife and 3 sons. All processing is completed on the farm in San Antonio Huista, with cherries de-pulped on the day of harvest, fermented, washed and then dried on patios.

Curve say this coffee’s tasting notes of apricot and vanilla fudge are delicious both with and without milk, making it a great choice for espresso, stove-top and french press brewers.

Curve Coffee Roasters are a values-driven roastery based in sunny Margate, Kent, founded in the back of a café in 2016 by passionate coffee professionals Tereza and Jon.

Curve know that the coffee they roast has the potential to make big differences to people’s livelihood and create better balance in the coffee industry. As a result, Curve’s focus is on seasonal, high quality coffees that are better not only for coffee drinkers but for the supply chain and the planet too.
