Cyesha, Rwanda - Curve Coffee

Cyesha is a real juicy number from Curve Coffee’s feature filter range. We recommend brewing this  Rwandan coffee with a V60 to bring out those fruity cherry and apricot tasting notes while providing bags of juicy body.

Cyesha Washing Station sits on the shores of Lake Kivu in the Nyamasheke district and is owned and operated by Muraho Trading- one of Curve’s trusted export partners. When Muraho purchased Cyesha it was run down and not suited to producing specialty coffee. With a bit of modernisation, including a water treatment and composting system, they now produce stunning washed, natural and honey process lots that show off the hard work of the 470 smallholder farmers who contribute to the station.

This coffee underwent anoxic natural processing at Cyesha, fermented in sealed water tanks to create an oxygen-free environment before being slowly dried in cherry on raised beds then  sorted and graded at Muraho’s nearby central mill to prepare it for export.

Curve Coffee Roasters are a values-driven roastery based in sunny Margate, Kent, founded in the back of a café in 2016 by passionate coffee professionals Tereza and Jon.
