Costa Rica Casa de Piedra - Triple Co Roast

Our first bag of Costa Rican coffee beans this season and Triple Co have made sure it’s a good one.

The family behind Finca Casa de Piedra have three decades of experience producing exceptional quality specialty microlots in Tarrazù, including black honey processed coffees like this one. Pioneered by Costa Rican producers and the most extreme of the honey processes the mucilage of these ultra ripe cherries is left on the bean to dry and ferment for over two weeks.

The resulting cup is full bodied peachy goodness, sweet but with plenty of fruity depth, and well worth the labour intensive process that these beans have undergone.

Triple Co Roast is a speciality roaster in the heart of Bristol , inspired by founder Jo’s studies in California.

Their mission is to small batch roast high quality coffee beans, buy green coffee via true direct trade, and focus on having amazing roaster-to-customer relations as an open-access roastery. This triple focus gives them their name and ensures delicious, ethical coffee and great transparency and knowledge right through to the customer.

Triple Co are also absolute whizzes with espresso machinery and really value education in coffee, so you can get the best from their product.
