Linarco Rodriguez, Colombia - Kobean Coffee Roasters

These rich and fruity coffee beans have been sourced from Linarco Rodriguez’s Finca Betania in Colombia, where his microlots show off his commitment to quality and learning.

Linarco intended to study business in Bogota, but his childhood growing up surrounded by coffee and his enterprising ambitions saw him transform his family estate El Diviso into a successful coffee business that prioritises unique, high quality lots. All coffee is harvested according to a strict criteria before it is sorted and sent for processing at the on site mill. This one has undergone a 72 hour underwater fermentation period before being washed, for a really clean but full bodied cup.

It’s easy to see why Kobean have selected this one for espresso, and while it’s normally their filter options that catch our eye we’re loving the sound of this one.

Specialty coffee roastery Kobean is based in Heaton Moor, Stockport where they focus on sourcing interesting and experimental lots.

With the climate and economic issues that the specialty coffee industry faces, founder Kobe believes that the future of coffee is with producers who are keen to add that extra-special something to their coffee.
