Colombian coffee has a reputation as a crowd pleaser: mild and balanced, great with and without milk.
We love a good Colombian coffee, so much so we use one as our house roast. The coffee producing areas of Colombia lie amongst the Andes and the Sierra Nevada where there is a near perfect tropical coffee-growing climate at high altitudes with plenty of rainfall and shelter, which yields two harvests annually. The successful commercialisation of Colombian coffee is supported by the FNC (Federación Nacional de Cafeteros) who market and assist with exports, while also facilitating infrastructure in coffee-growing communities.
Colombian coffees have a great range of qualities and tasting notes, from round and full bodied to juicy and fruity.
