Uganda, Sipi Falls - ALL CAPS Coffee
We’d just about finished telling everyone that honey processed coffee didn’t actually involve honey when ALL CAPS dropped this absolute banger.
This sweet and tropical Ugandan coffee is the result of co-fermenting a naturally processed lot with locally sourced Tangwen honey, by adding it into the fermentation tank. The sugars in the honey feed the fermentation process and create a complex blossom honey taste in the final cup.
The Zukura Bora Coffee company represents and provides processing for smallholder farmers in the well-regarded Sipi Falls micro-region. Zukura has built on the international reputation that comes from generational farming experience in the area by offering incredible experimental lots like this one.
Chester-based ALL CAPS coffee have been supplying the North West and beyond with beans and brews since 2021. There's a reason ALL CAPS are popping up as a guest roaster up and down the UK, they pride themselves on tasty coffee backed by transparent sourcing, roasting up their carefully selected lots on a Giesen roaster, keeping the distinctive qualities of each coffee intact.
While everything we've tried from ALL CAPS has been delicious, we'd be lying if we said it wasn't the fun, psychedelic branding that pulled us in.
