A stunningly complex coffee from Ethiopia packed with citrus and stone fruit flavour with a soft tea-like aroma, perfect for all day filter drinking and Ethiopian coffee connoisseurs. We’ve become used to seeing some amazing coffees from Daye Bensa’s washing stations on our roasters’ offer lists and this one roasted in London by PLOT is no exception.

These coffee beans were grown by smallholder farmers near the village of Boreta in the Sidama Zone, where perfect rainfall, sunlight and altitudes up to 2330MASL mean that the coffee cultivation here has been refined over many generations. Once the cherries arrive at Daye Bensa’s Arbegona processing station, they are floated to sort for density and quality. The cherries are washed, then transferred to traditional African raised beds where they’re rotated every 30 minutes to ensure even drying, a process that takes between 12-15 days, depending on the conditions.
