Finca Las Mercedes, El Salvador - Outpost Coffee
There’s six generations of coffee growing history behind Outpost’s 2024 Christmas coffee. These coffee beans from El Salvador, grown on the Aguilar family’s Finca Las Mercedes, have undergone the farm’s holistic honey processing journey all the way from harvest to milling. The coffee is depulped to leave a large amount of mucilage, then dried in both sun and shade for 22 days, a new method they are calling ‘Sol-Sombra’ drying.
The result is a sweet and syrupy cup with festive nougat and cranberry tasting notes, delicious both with and without milk to keep everyone happy on Christmas morning.
