Wosasa, Ethiopia - Odd Kin Coffee Roasters
A fruity treat of an Ethiopian coffee from Odd Kin that shows off the skill and knowledge of the farmers in the Guji region. The natural lot has 25 contributing farmers from the Wosasa kebele, all of whom have been trained in agronomy and quality control by the ‘King of Guji’, Ture Waji, who knows the unique landscape of Guji and the distinctive coffee it produces better than anyone.
This coffee showcases two Ethiopian heirloom varieties, which are carefully managed at the drying station for a sweet and silky cup with abundant notes of plum, passionfruit and elderflower- perfect for a tasty V60 or a refreshing cold brew.
Odd Kin Coffee Roasters is the brainchild of former Rugby pro Sam Smith who wanted a fulfilling life after retiring through injury and found that in coffee. We’re glad he did, because Odd Kin are creating some exciting stuff down in Bristol and they’re still only 2!
After opening a coffee shop and with the brief interruption of the pandemic, they decided to begin roasting their own coffee beans and Odd Kin was born.
