Diima Danche is a vibrantly fruity Ethiopian coffee roasted by Hard Lines.

Danche washing station in Chelbesa buys coffee cherries from around 700 smallholder farmers, and is a producer of real standout coffees. The station is owned by Ethiopian exporters SNAP, who’ve worked hard to ensure that specialty grade coffee knowledge is passed all the way down the chain to their farmers.

The word ‘Diima’ in the name translates to red in Oromiffa, and is used to earmark coffees that have an intensely fruity and tropical flavour profile- the perfect fit for this naturally processed lot. These coffee beans provide a real flavour journey, with intense complexity in the cup as a result of high altitudes, slower maturation and a later harvest.

We’re tasting delicious guava sweetness, lime acidity, and solid purple fruit body. While we naturally want to whack this fruity number on filter, Hard Lines are also recommending these beans for a juicy espresso.
