It’s always exciting to see Ecuador on our roasters’ offer lists. This time around we’ve got some Ecuadorian coffee beans from Fika sourced from Gladys Erazo’s farm Cutanapamba in Loja.

Gladys is a remarkable farmer and talented coffee producer, noted for her commitment to sustainable farming and high quality coffee that is deeply connected to the land. Her dedication to eco-friendly farming has driven the local association of coffee growers APECAEL to produce their own organic fertiliser that she uses on her 1.8 hectare farm. Coffee isn’t even Gladys’s primary income source; her honey has a legendary reputation, benefitting from the incredible biodiversity she’s built on her land and in the surrounding area.

All coffee from Cutanapamba undergoes a washed process, and this particular lot is an aromatic and sweet cup marked by notes of plum, pistachio and fragrant hibiscus.
