Gogogu, Ethiopia - Curve Coffee
One for the real Ethiopian coffee lovers. These silky and floral coffee beans from Curve have a light flavour profile marked by peach and white grape tasting notes.
This one’s been sourced by Falcon from Ethiopian exporter SNAP who are working to improve sustainability on local farms in the Gedeo, Guji & West Arsi regions. This lot comes from the Gogogu washing station in the Guji Zone’s Haro Wolabu woreda, which receives cherry from around 500 smallholder farms.
A traditional washed method is used at Gogogu, with a 60-72 hour wet fermentation before drying on raised beds for around 10 days.
The young age of the coffee plants (between 5 and 10 years old) that contribute to this lot make for a very unique taste while providing a high yield.
Curve Coffee Roasters are a values-driven roastery based in sunny Margate, Kent, founded in the back of a café in 2016 by passionate coffee professionals Tereza and Jon.
Curve know that the coffee they roast has the potential to make big differences to people’s livelihood and create better balance in the coffee industry. As a result, Curve’s focus is on seasonal, high quality coffees that are better not only for coffee drinkers but for the supply chain and the planet too.
