Cult are bringing big, bold flavours to your cup with their new Costa Rican coffee. Tío Juan comes from Juan Rafael Montero Gamboa’s micromill in Tarrazú and is full of jammy cherry and rich chocolate notes.

The Tío Juan micromill is Juan Rafael’s effort to improve the quality of coffee on his family farm, introducing sustainable and organic practices that ensure that the coffee is cultivated and processed in harmony with the natural environment.

For this naturally processed microlot, the cherries taken to the micromill where they were floated, sorted and then dried on raised beds in direct sunlight for approximately 4 weeks, where the fermentation created delicious, slightly boozy cherry flavours.

We recommend this coffee for filter brewing, or you can catch this one as a seasonal cold brew on LOCAL’s autumn menu.
