This Ethiopian coffee from Zennor is giving us winter sun with shiny bright, tropical flavours that are ideal for filter brewing. Clean pineapple, kiwi and wild strawberry notes are complemented by aromatic florals.

These naturally processed coffee beans come from Daye Bensa’s Rumudamo washing station located high in Arbegona, within Ethiopia’s Sidama region. The smallholder farmers who contribute cherries to this station cultivate between 2100 and 2300 MASL, extremely high altitudes that have given Rumudamo great success at the Ethiopian Cup of Excellence competition.

Arbegona is not a coffee growing area traditionally, but as global temperatures rise, lower altitude regions have become unsuitable for coffee cultivation and the coffee trade has turned to higher altitude farms.
