Hamasho, Ethiopia - ZENNOR

Zennor’s new Ethiopian coffee has been sourced direct from Daye Bensa Coffee’s importing arm and comes from smallholder farmers in Hamasho village. Producers in this highland region of Sidamo drink their own coffee so have a real awareness of quality and consistency in their product.

These peaberry coffee beans might be small, but they’re big on flavour with tropical mango, papaya tasting notes and a floral aroma.

These fruity flavours are a result of attentive natural processing, a method that originated in Ethiopia. Cherries are floated and hand sorted, then spread out to dry on the sun, relying on specific precipitation levels for consistent natural drying.

Specialty coffee roasters and coffee shop ZENNOR have been operating in Glasgow’s East End for 3 years. Sophie and Kieran’s minimalistic space is home to a carefully curated selection of single-origin coffees, all ethically sourced for their clean flavour that lets intricate tasting notes shine through.
