Fuyan, China - Hard Lines Coffee Roasters
We’ve got our mitts on another delicious Chinese coffee from Hard Lines. Back for the second year running is this natural process lot from Fuyan washing station, an award-winning processing station run by Mrs Na and Mr Li. Coffees processed here come from both their own land and that of local smallholders. At 1700MASL the Yunnan mountains, coffee is intercropped with macadamia, fruit trees and specialty teas and picked mainly by indigenous Lahu workers.
This beautiful setting clearly makes for beautiful coffee. This one is very fruit forward in aroma and flavour with raspberry and grape notes rounding out a bold, sweet cup.
Definitely a great filter brew but if it's anything like last year's batch it'll make a funky and complex espresso too.
