Fika Coffee’s Maliba is a big fruit bomb of an extended fermentation coffee from Uganda’s Rwenzori Mountains. Maliba’s 48 hour anaerobic fermentation at Agri Evolve’s Nyabirongo coffee station has left us with a sweet and boozy cup with tasting notes of tropical fruits and red berries- ripe for a delicious pourover.

Exporter and social enterprise Agri Evolve works hard to connect UK roasters with Ugandan coffee farmers and producers while improving the quality, yields and profits of their coffee. Their programme has brought massive opportunity and development to both the daily lives of people in the Rwenzoris, where farming is at the heart of communities, and to their coffee.

By investing in infrastructure, Agri Evolve have been able to fund more experimental lots like this one, so that consumers can see the full potential of Ugandan coffee and farmers can access better prices.
