China
China is definitely better known for its tea than its coffee, but big name coffee corps have been investing in commercial coffee production in the south of the nation since the 90s. A late entry to the speciality coffee game, Chinese coffee is rapidly growing in quality thanks to the support of speciality importers attracted to its sweet and interesting traits. The southern province of Yunnan that borders Vietnam, Myanmar and Laos is responsible for 95% of all coffee grown in China, with wet and dry seasons, a temperate climate, similar environmental characteristics to South American and African growing regions.
