Samuel Párraga
Spain
Samuel Párraga is a knowledgeable young Spanish wine maker, making bright, balanced wines that show off Andalucían traditions and the terroir of his native Málaga since 2018. In the mountains of Andalucía at elevations up to 1300 MASL, Párraga's viticulture benefits from the uniquely cool climate that sets it apart from the humid vineyards of the Mediterranean.
Párraga specialises in oxidative white wines, sweet dessert wines and bright sparkling wines like Rapagon, all made with spontaneous fermentation and without the addition of sulphur. Complementing these styles is a focus on native grape varieties such as Moscatel, Macabeo and Pedro Ximenez.
