While Honduras is Central America's top producer of coffee by weight, we rarely get to see it on the speciality market. The soil, climate, and conditions in Honduras are very similar to those of Guatemala, Nicaragua, or Costa Rica but it has historically lacked the infrastructure of its neighbours, and its produce has been relegated to commercial blends. With a great range of flavour profiles available, and more experimentation in high quality processing, Honduran coffee is an exciting prospect for speciality roasters.
